      As for SEIU/NAGE, we are shocked and appalled that NAGE has taken such a blatantly anti-union stand against EMS workers by illegally affiliating with the corrupt union against whom we have been struggling for 2 years. You should be ashamed of yourselves - you just hired a crook and denied us our right to elect our own union representation under the Wagner Act of 1935. You are no better than NEMSA: so afraid to lose that you would rather just circumvent the democratic process entirely. Disgusting.

They called him "Big Will" and he had more than a few claims to fame. Not only was he the most mellow and friendly EMT on the west coast, a guy everybody liked to work with, and I mean everybody. He also was also a major renegade of FUNK. When Willie Orey wasn't taking care of the sick and injured, he was making the east bay significantly funkier with his epic bass playing for Trikk Baby...

THE TRILLION DOLLAR CLUSTERFUCK

2.7 Trillion Dollars. That's what we spent last year on falling out of bed, cancer, asthma, decubitus butt ulcers, heart attacks and insulin shots, among other things. While the doctors innovate and develop new therapies, the Vulcan freaks they left in charge are eating the blueprint. Right now, it would be cheaper to pay somebody to kill them, than to break their Vulcan arms and pay the medical bills. Think about that for a minute.

Why is medicine such a expensive clusterfuck? One word: Paperwork. A recent study from the University of Obvious Facts shows that nurses spend more than half of their time on paperwork. These poor Nurses are forced to spend so much time writing phony vitals and other inane minutia, that right now, as you read this rant, 34% percent of American hospital floors are in septic shock from urinary tract infections caused by lack of diaper changing, another 12% have fallen out of bed trying to use the bathroom by themselves and are laying on the floor with broken hips screaming while the rest lay dehydrated and hypoxic in puddles of their own shit.

The Administrators are the problem, not the solution. They are the giant vampire squid wrapped around the face of western medicine. As our patients die and the system collapses under their bloated Reich , they continue to arrogantly demand that we institute yet more "QA" and procedure to further document the job they won't fucking let us do. Our cries have been heard, and they are laughing at us. They took away the paper and brought in their "machines". Software specially designed to grind everything to a halt. Every ER in America has a line in triage while the Nurse curses her computer and tries to make the software work. Software so bad I suspect the Soviet Union made it - made it to sabotage our healthcare system and drive us into debt.

In actuality, the administrators themselves have conspired against us to keep a firm grip on their little empire. They understand that If we had efficient software and reasonable working rules, we could do our jobs, and if we could do our jobs, then they could no longer go on pretending to help us. Why don't they just cut my brake lines and be done with it. Sabotage is sabotage. Look at the software used for amateur musicians vs. medical professionals. If medicine is a much bigger market than music hobbyists, then why are we using this crap? Could somebody please have Obama read this.
